MAGICAL MATTHEW REVIEW
5.0 out of 5 stars
Cute book. Fun to read., March 2, 2015
This review is from: Magical Matthew (Hardcover)
Matthew is a 4 year old boy who fixes things,
but he accomplishes that in a unique way. He merely thinks them fixed.
However, he discovers that he can’t fix people, only things. When he
tries to fix his friend Lily’s legs, he discovers that his special
magic only works on things. When he tells Lily about his magic, they
plan ways they can do good deeds for others.
Penelope Cole tells a wonderful story about friendship, trust and doing kind deeds. She also uses a little rhyming which adds to the cuteness of the story, Children will relate to Matthew’s situation because, well, who doesn’t dream of being a hero as a youngster.
The colorful and lively illustrations by Kevin Scott Collier help convey this delightful story to the reader.
